# Alakazam #003 — MEP Black Star Promos

## Summary

Alakazam is a Kantō original with a reputation for brains, and the Psychic Draw ability gave this Stage 2 genuine tournament interest as a draw engine in its era. As a Black Star promo it was never a pack pull, so collector demand rests on the cochi8i illustration and the Gen I pedigree. The modelled guide sits at $21, up 10% over 30 days on 15 copies traded, with 66 days of inventory on the board; a PSA 10 guides at $553, 26 times raw, but PSA does not split this card’s population by finish, so no gem rate can be read for it.
