# Morty #186/214 — Lost Thunder

## Summary

Morty, the Ecruteak City Gym Leader from Gold and Silver, keeps a loyal Johto following, and Ken Sugimori, the original Pokémon designer, is the credited illustrator. The effect only works after a Psychic Pokémon is Knocked Out, so it stayed a niche disruption pick. A $0.29 modelled guide, flat over 30 days on 8 copies traded, says bulk, with 310 days of inventory on the board, and the economics stop there: a PSA 10 guides at $34, 117 times raw, but PSA does not split this card’s population by finish, so no gem rate can be read for it.
