# Metapod #2/106 — Flashfire

## Summary

Metapod's Adaptive Evolution ability let it jump straight from Caterpie to a bigger threat in the Butterfree decks of that era, which gave this uncommon a real job beyond filler. Kawayoo's name sits on it, though demand mostly runs on Gen I nostalgia and set completion. A $0.27 modelled guide with 6 copies traded in 30 days says bulk, and the tape reads as a floor forming near the lows, and the economics stop there: a PSA 10 guides at $35, 128 times raw, but PSA does not split this card’s population by finish, so no gem rate can be read for it.
