# Scyther #29/112 — FireRed & LeafGreen

## Summary

Scyther has long been a Gen I favorite, a mantis whose Slash-and-dash image made it a staple of early Kanto nostalgia, and FireRed & LeafGreen was a Kanto homecoming. Kouki Saitou's illustration adds to the appeal, while this Rare sat in the mid-tier of the set, a satisfying pull but never the chase. The modelled guide sits at $5.18, up 10% over 30 days on 7 copies traded, with 224 days of inventory on the board; a CGC 10 brings $46, 8.9 times raw, but PSA does not split this card’s population by finish, so no gem rate can be read for it.
