# Ampharos ex #89/97 — Dragon

## Summary

Ampharos ex from the early EX era draws on a Johto starter-adjacent favorite, the Light Pokémon that Gen II fans still love for its gentle design and Gold and Silver nostalgia. Ryo Ueda's name adds a collector angle, while the ex format kept it a notable pull in its set. The modelled guide sits at $246 with 11 copies traded in 30 days; the slab is the real edge, with CGC 10s at $15,000 and a 12% observed gem rate putting about $1,000 of expected profit per submission.
