# Chimchar #DP02 — DP Black Star Promos

## Summary

Chimchar is a Sinnoh starter, and Fire-type starters tend to hold the warmest fan loyalty of any trio, which gives even this humble Basic a following. Kagemaru Himeno is a veteran illustrator from the game's earliest days, and this promo-numbered Black Star entry is mostly a collector's completion piece. At a $27 modelled guide, with 30 copies traded in 30 days, this printing is almost entirely collector premium, since the same card plays for $0.13 out of Twilight Masquerade; the slab is the real edge, with PSA 10s at $18,000 and a 5% observed gem rate putting about $400 of expected profit per submission.
