# Butterfree VMAX #002/189 — Darkness Ablaze

## Summary

Butterfree has carried a quiet Kantō following since the first generation, and a Gigantamax version gave that affection a modern showcase. As a VMAX in a Darkness Ablaze set led by Charizard, it was a mid-tier pull, and aky CG Works' 3D-modeled illustration style suits Gigantamax forms. The modelled guide sits at $5.89, up 31% over 30 days on 111 copies traded, with 51 days of inventory on the board; a PSA 10 brings $66, 11 times raw, but a 80% gem rate against $85 of fees makes grading a losing trade.
