# Altaria #BW48 — BW Black Star Promos

## Summary

Altaria is a Hoenn favorite whose cloud-wing look and Dragon typing keep it well liked, and HiRON is a respected illustrator whose work is sought after. As a Black Star Promo it was never a booster chase pull, so demand comes from completionists and Altaria fans. At a $49 modelled guide, with 1 copy traded in 30 days, this printing is almost entirely collector premium, since the same card plays for $0.16 out of Surging Sparks; the slab is the real edge, with PSA 10s at $7,800 and a 8% observed gem rate putting about $420 of expected profit per submission.
