# Jynx #45/130 — Base Set 2

## Summary

Jynx is a Gen I oddity with a lasting cult following, remembered as much for its design controversy as for its Psychic-type charm. A Base Set 2 uncommon drawn by Sugimori himself, it was a mid-tier pull that gives collectors an early-WOTC piece without the chase-slot price. At a $1.27 modelled guide, with 29 copies traded in 30 days, with the tape reading as a floor forming near the lows, 89% of this printing’s price is collector premium, since the same card plays for $0.14 out of Pitch Black; a PSA 10 brings $199, 157 times raw, but a 28% gem rate against $85 of fees makes grading a losing trade.
