# Farfetch'd #40/130 — Base Set 2

## Summary

Farfetch'd is a quirky Gen I favorite, the duck with a leek that fans adore for being so stubbornly odd, and Sugimori drew the original Pokémon artwork himself, which gives his cards a founder's pedigree. Leek Slap was a one-shot gimmick, so this uncommon sells on charm and nostalgia, not tournament play. At a $0.94 modelled guide, with 14 copies traded in 30 days, 80% of this printing’s price is collector premium, since the same card plays for $0.19 out of Twilight Masquerade; a CGC 10 brings $60, 64 times raw, but a 15% gem rate against $45 of fees makes grading a losing trade.
