# Pikachu #048/128 — 30th Celebration

## Summary

Pikachu is the franchise face, so a Pikachu Rare in an anniversary set speaks to the widest buyer base the hobby has, from lapsed players to gift-givers. Its energy-recovery attack is modest utility, which makes Oshiyama's name the real draw for collectors. At a $0.73 sold median, down 21% over 30 days on 5,578 copies traded, with only 3 days of inventory on the board, 63% of this printing’s price is collector premium, since the same card plays for $0.27 out of Ascended Heroes; no PSA population is on file, and a CGC 10 would fetch about $50 against $45 in grading fees.
