# Magikarp (Japanese) #002 — Silver Deck Kit

## Summary

Japan's Silver Deck Kit, a starter product released there in October 2004, put this Japanese Magikarp in players' hands about two weeks before the same card appeared in the English Team Rocket Returns set in November. The card pictures the red fish mid-splash in pale blue water, mouth agape, rocks behind it. As a basic with a bench-fetching attack, it was more useful than prized, a bulk slot with real charm. The modelled guide sits at $29 with no copies traded in 30 days; no PSA population is on file, and a CGC 10 would fetch about $170 against $45 in grading fees.
