# Rare Candy (Japanese) #012 — sC: Grimmsnarl Starter Set VMAX

## Summary

Rare Candy is the Trainer that lets a deck skip a Stage 1 and land a Stage 2 Pokémon early, a trick players have leaned on across many eras. A glossy blue candy glows against a burst of yellow-green light here. This Japanese version came out in the Grimmsnarl Starter Set VMAX in March 2020, after the English Sword & Shield set had already carried it, a plain Trainer slot made for playing, not chasing.
