# Snivy (Japanese) #002 — HSZ: National Beginning Set

## Summary

Seven months before Boundaries Crossed brought the English Snivy to shelves, Japan had this Snivy in the National Beginning Set, released in April 2012. Snivy is the Grass starter of Unova, a haughty little serpent that fans love for its smug, unbothered attitude. The card shows it coiled with a red eye and leaves swirling around it, in bright green tones. This Japanese edition sits as a basic Pokémon, a modest slot with a clear Unova-starter charm.
