# Axew (Japanese) #013 — Dragon Selection

## Summary

Japan's collectors got this Axew in the Dragon Selection set in January 2012, about nine months before the same card appeared in the English Dragon Vault. The Japanese Axew is a plain bulk-tier Pokémon card, and its charm lies in the artwork: the little green tusk-bearer perches wide-eyed against a glittering holofoil backdrop of sparkles. Fans still love Axew as an easygoing starter to Unova's dragon line, which gives this humble slot some warmth. The modelled guide sits at $6.20, up 1% over 30 days on 3 copies traded, with 273 days of inventory on the board; no PSA population is on file, and a PSA 10 would fetch about $280 against $65 in grading fees.
