# Gyarados (Japanese) #024 — Clash of the Blue Sky

## Summary

Gyarados is the Pokémon most players first met as the thing a Magikarp becomes after a long, humbling grind, and that payoff is why it still pulls collectors in. In the Japanese Clash of the Blue Sky set, released in July 2004, it appears as a holo rare, a solid mid-tier hit. It roars open-mouthed against a starry, cracked-glass holo backdrop, and the English Gyarados in Deoxys followed in February 2005. The modelled guide sits at $50 with no copies traded in 30 days; no PSA population is on file, and a CGC 10 would fetch about $900 against $45 in grading fees.
